Spring Break is almost here, and our Pioneer students are ready for a well-deserved break. While school will be closed for a week, time outside of the classroom can still be filled with new adventures and opportunities to expand their horizons. At Pope Valley, we want to foster a genuine love of learning, and we encourage all students to remain curious and open to new experiences no matter where they are.
For students who are staying local, a great place to visit is the local library. Napa County Library is hosting an evening of puppet and storytelling fun on April 9th, a great opportunity for kids of all ages to express their creativity and see how they can bring their own stories to life. Kids can also enter the 4th Annual Bookmark Story Contest, where your Pioneer writers can submit their own short stories on a bookmark in just 60 words or less. These are just some of the activities available to our Pioneers during their break, and can serve as a fun night that still builds on their communication and creativity. Napa County Library also has access to exciting new books every month, as well as free and low cost tickets to museums, science centers, zoos and more, so there is plenty for our Pioneers and their families to take advantage of.

Aprendiendo Dentro y Fuera del Salón de Clases
Las vacaciones de primavera están casi aquí, y nuestros estudiantes Pioneer están listos para un descanso bien merecido. Aunque la escuela estará cerrada por una semana, el tiempo fuera del salón de clases puede llenarse de nuevas aventuras y oportunidades para ampliar sus horizontes. En Pope Valley, queremos fomentar un amor genuino por el aprendizaje, y animamos a todos los estudiantes a mantenerse curiosos y abiertos a nuevas experiencias sin importar dónde se encuentren.
Para los estudiantes que se quedan en la localidad, un excelente lugar para visitar es la biblioteca local. La Biblioteca del Condado de Napa organizará una velada de títeres y cuentos el 9 de abril, una gran oportunidad para que niños de todas las edades expresen su creatividad y vean cómo pueden dar vida a sus propias historias. Los niños también pueden participar en el 4.° Concurso Anual de Historias en Marcapáginas, donde nuestros escritores Pioneer pueden enviar sus propias historias cortas en un marcapáginas con tan solo 60 palabras o menos. Estas son solo algunas de las actividades disponibles para nuestros Pioneers durante sus vacaciones, y pueden ser una noche divertida que a la vez fortalece su comunicación y creatividad. La Biblioteca del Condado de Napa también ofrece acceso a emocionantes libros nuevos cada mes, así como boletos gratuitos y de bajo costo para museos, centros de ciencias, zoológicos y más, por lo que hay mucho de lo que nuestros Pioneers y sus familias pueden aprovechar.
